We feature lightweight layering pieces, tunics, dresses, vests, luxury handbags and other accessories. Our signature line, To the Nines, is designed by Lucy GoLightly's owner, Kim Hinkle.
A little background info...
In the Spring of 2010, while preparing for the arrival of her first baby, Kim began brainstorming ways to transform her business into a more mom-friendly enterprise. Since 2006 she had been designing her own lines of maternity and women's wear which were sold wholesale to boutiques throughout the country. Kim decided to start a little online boutique reselling items from her favorite L.A. clothing lines that she purchased wholesale. This new business model proved much easier for a new mom to manage. After a few months of success with the online boutique, Kim launched her first retail shop located in Trendz Market in October 2010.
Who is Lucy GoLightly?
While brainstorming concepts for her new retail venture, Kim was reading Truman Capote's book Breakfast at Tiffany's. With the idea of a collection of lightweight layering pieces already in mind, Kim was inspired by the name and style of the book's main character, Holly Golightly. Lucy became the modern day interpretation of this famous fashion icon. The tagline "Lightweight Gear for the Girl On-the-Go" became the foundation upon which the the new concept was developed.
